About me
My name is Cindy L. Sell, and I write epic fantasy and fantasy romance novels. My stories explore the darker side of human nature and mortality while still retaining an air of hope. It’s not all doom and gloom, here, but happy endings will be hard-won and well-deserved.
I’m heavily influenced by many other authors in the fantasy genre. Raymond Feist, Brandon Sanderson, and Patrick Rothfuss are some of my favorite authors. I also draw inspiration from the works of R.F. Kuang, Samantha Shannon, and N.K. Jemisin. My favorite tropes are the reluctant hero, good vs. evil, the chosen one, and enemies-to-lovers.

My promise to readers
I take pride in my work, and I strive to deliver my absolute best for readers to enjoy. That is why all of my books are professionally edited and proofread before release. However, just as with any human-made product, an occasional mistake may slip through. While I can’t promise a book totally free of errors, I will promise these will be kept to a minimum.
Quality over Quantity
I will never compromise quality for quantity in my work. This means I may delay a release from time to time if I don’t believe it is as good as it can be.
Family First
While I wear many hats as an indie author—writer, map-maker, marketer, formatter, and publisher—I also have two little boys at home who’ve given me my most important role of all: Mom. I appreciate your understanding when life happens.
